FL is becoming more intuitive, and having to do things in such a way contrasts with the slicker approach it's aiming for in other areas. Hangovers from a clunkier era remain, such as having to prepare a project for Performance Mode by going through Tools > Macros > Prepare for Performance mode. Although the system works well, it would be difficult to sustain the workflow over a full set.

It is a joy to perform a song with, but the required variation of loops and automation in just one track means that making a whole DJ set-length performance in this way would be a challenge. Performance Mode works well and has FL's customisably colourful visual flair, along with a handy clock-style 'fill' of the Track name as the clips you've pressed play through. It is now much faster to get going with a Launchpad, Maschine or other supported hardware. Maybe a major drawback would be the fact that I only recommend the Signature Edition, because is the only one that has a decent price and you get almost everything, except 2 or 3 audio effects and other synths that are not a necessity in my opinion.Extended controller support will also benefit a lot of FL-based performers. There are no major cons against FL Studio in my opinion, as for me as a hobbyist is the perfect combination of workflow and tools to do the songs I want. One of the great additions that I absolutely love is the ZGameAudio Visualizer, that`s very advanced and enormously helpful for making audio visualizers for the songs. I love that if we have less CPU power, there are settings to be checked so we can ease on that and have more power to work on a bigger audio track. The Lifetime Upgrades offered by the company is the best gift for the customers and the support team is great and helpful. The FL Studio patcher is as well one of the greatest tools in the software with endless possibilities. The workflow of FL Studio is the most easiest on the market, being suited for complete beginners, who can start to learn it right away without sacrificing too much time. The midi and audio editing, composing and arranging are advanced with tons of tools so you can get the ideas from your head into a full song. You have every mix and mastering tools available from the start, included in this edition and a few VST Instruments, the most noticeable being Sytrus, 3XOSC and the FLEX rompler.

The FL Studio - Signature Edition is the most complete, with an easy workflow and everything you need, digital audio workstation, both for beginners and audio professionals.
